Males for breeding

Our males for breeding can be found here.

The Breeding Committee maintains a list of Stabyhoun males available for breeding. The owner of a male dog may choose to submit their dog to be included on the list. The purpose of the list is to make it easier for breeders to find a suitable stud dog when planning future litters.

Being listed does not obligate the owner to anything. The owner always decides on a case-by-case basis whether to allow their male to be used for breeding.

To be included on the list, a male must meet the following requirements:

• Hips and elbows must be officially examined and graded

  • The minimum accepted hip grade is C and elbow grade is 1

• The dog must be tested for von Willebrand’s disease (vWD)

• The dog must be tested for Cerebral Dysfunction Disorder (CD)

• The dog must have an official show result
