Association

We are a registered association dedicated to promoting breed awareness, health, breeding, responsible dog breeding practices, and breed-specific dog-related activities. Our aim is to offer our members a wide variety of programs and breed-related content.

We work in close cooperation with our stakeholders. Our stakeholders include the German Pointer Club (Saksanseisojakerho), which is the breed association for continental pointing dogs, Stabijhoun associations from different countries, as well as other dog-related associations and companies.

The association operates as part of the international governing body, the International Stabijhoun Council (ISC), and the committees established under it. The ISC General Assembly meets three times a year, and the committees convene as needed.

The association was founded in 2006 as Suomen Stabyhounkerho - Stabyhoun Club of Finland ry, and following its merger with FSCF in 2025, it adopted the name Suomen Stabijhoun ry.
